The options displayed on the Processing Menu are based on the type of scale house operation. If you are operating as an “on-line” scale house, or as an “on-line” and “host location”, the scale loads and post ticket options are displayed. If you are operating as a “remote location” only, the scale loads option is displayed. If you are operating as a “host location” only, no options are displayed.
The system supports both loads delivered to your mill and shipments leaving the mill. Loads delivered to the mill usually originate from tracts.
Shipment Tickets
Shipment loads originate from either inventory or non-inventory sources. The gross weight on a shipment ticket is captured from the scale indicator and the scale operator enters an estimated tare weight. The shipment ticket is printed and displays on the “on yard” window until the destination’s ticket number, gross, and tare weights are entered. The shipment ticket number is displayed in the accounts receivable file with the destination’s ticket number followed by the scale house ticket number.
