1A          Enter the total amount due on the A/R Open Aging Summary Report for the prior accounting period.

1B          Enter the amount for the A/R account found on the G/L Trial Balance for the prior accounting period.

1C          Enter the difference in Column A and Column B.

 

2A          Enter the amount for the "Totals by Type: Invoices" field on the A/R Transaction Listing.  This field is found on the last line of the last page of the report.  The report should be selected for ALL transactions, and for the accounting period being reconciled.

2B          Enter the amount for source code SJ found on the G/L Distribution Summary-Source Code Order Report.  The report should be selected for ALL source codes, the A/R general ledger account number, the summarize box should be checked, and for the accounting period being reconciled.

2C          Enter the difference in Column A and Column B.

 

3A          Enter the amount of the "Total Payments" field found on the last page of the A/R Payment Listing Report.  The report should be selected for the accounting period being reconciled.

 

4A          Enter the amount for the "Totals by Type: Open Credits" field on the A/R Transaction Listing.  This field is found on the last line of the last page of the report.  The report should be selected for ALL transactions, and for the accounting period being reconciled.

 

5A          Enter the amount of the "Adjustments from Enter Deposits/Distr Unapplied" field found on the last page of the A/R Payment Listing Report.  The report should be selected for the accounting period being reconciled.

 

6A          Enter the amount for the "Totals by Type: Unapplied not Distributed" field on the A/R Transaction Listing.  This field is found on the last line of the last page of the report.  The report should be selected for ALL transactions, and for accounting period being reconciled.

 

7A          Enter the total of Row 3 through Row 6 for Column A.

7B          Enter the amount for source code CR found on the G/L Distribution Summary-Source Code Order Report.  The report should be selected for ALL source codes, the A/R general ledger account number, the summarize box should be checked, and for the accounting period being reconciled.

7C          Enter the difference in Column A and Column B.

 

8A          Enter the amount of the "Adjustments from Enter Adjustments" field found on the last page of the A/R Payment Listing Report.  The report should be selected for the accounting period being reconciled.

8B          Enter the amount for source code AD found on the G/L Distribution Summary-Source Code Order Report.  The report should be selected for ALL source codes, the A/R general ledger account  number, the summarize box should be checked, and for the accounting period being reconciled.

8C          Enter the difference in Column A and Column B.

 

9             Use for other categories such as accruals and journal entries, if applicable.

 

10A         Enter the totals for Row 1, Row 2, Row 7, Row 8 and Row 9 for Column A.

10B         Enter the totals for Row 1, Row 2, Row 7, Row 8 and Row 9 for Column B.

 

11A         Enter the total amount due on the A/R Open Aging Summary Report for the current accounting period.

11B         Enter the amount for the A/R account found on the G/L Trial Balance for the current accounting period.

11C         Enter the difference in Column A and Column B.

 

12            Enter the difference in Row 10 and Row 11 for Column A, Column B, and Column C.

 

NOTE:   TO RECONCILE ANY DIFFERENCES SHOWN IN COLUMN C, RUN THE LISTED REPORTS FOR EACH CATEGORY IN DETAIL INSTEAD OF SUMMARY.  COMPARE AND CHECK OFF THE TRANSACTIONS FOR THE COLUMN A AND COLUMN B REPORTS UNTIL THE DISCREPANCY IS FOUND.
